Moved 5 graduate programs from a private vendor (2U) to fully in-house supported systems in under 10 months at Georgetown University.
A few details
I led the transition of the School of Nursing’s online and hybrid graduate programs from a private vendor (2U) to Georgetown-supported platforms. This strategic move helped retain tuition revenue and gave faculty more control over course content and delivery.
Some special
Over 10 months, we transitioned 71 courses across 5 programs, serving 320 unique students and 69 instructors by Summer 2025. The effort saved the school vendor costs and consolidated technology into GU-supported systems.
How I solved it
We rebuilt all courses in Canvas and Panopto, moved off of ExamSoft, updated content for accessibility, and provided future-facing revision plans. Through leadership collaboration and faculty handoff meetings, Georgetown is now supporting sustainable, in-house course management.
