A few details…

I am an instructional designer, trainer, and web developer with more than a decade of experience designing accessible online environments and teaching virtually. Currently, I am Georgetown University's Associate Director of Learning Design at the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship. Before that, I was Manager of Instructional Design at Missouri Online. Prior to receiving my Ph.D. from the School of Information and Library Science at UNC-Chapel Hill and working as the Senior Instructional Designer for the Carolina Office for Online Learning (COOL), I worked for American University's Center for Teaching, Research & Learning in Washington, D.C. and the Pennsylvania State University's Education Technology Services. I received an MS in Art Education and an MEd in Instructional Systems. I co-founded and organized Blue Out Penn State in fall 2011, which raised over $126,000 for child abuse prevention charities through social media and has since become a yearly tradition. I enjoy painting friends and family in the style of famous works of art, trivia games, and eating far too much pizza.
