Testimonial: A Success Story
My biggest hurdle in creating my website was realizing that it was dynamic – it could be changed – so all of my work did not have to be final. In fact, I needed to understand that the website would only be valuable to others if it was alive, infused with new and accessible information, and inviting.
Laura helped me get to that point quickly. She offered guidance in a highly structured format. She helped organize my thinking, directed me to websites and videos where I could learn more about specific features and functions of a website, and made recommendations about what features I needed now and what could be added at a later date. She provided an initial website model and from there we added, deleted, and rethought different sections. She created a timeline and provided descriptive feedback at every stage. In the end, my website was both engaging, informative, and interesting.
Laura can do the technical and creative parts of building a website. By working with Laura you will become more schooled in the mechanics of your website and be able to independently maintain it. But, the biggest gifts Laura March has to offer clients are her patience, respect, and enthusiasm for your project. Those three qualities will engender a website that works!
A few details
The Project
I was asked to develop a website for a newly-created educational consultation business, GrowingTeachers.org.
Some special
Specifications
In my opinion, the most important part of developing this website was ensuring that it could be updated easily by the client. This cuts out the frustration of continually paying for small changes and helps foster a sense of ownership over one’s digital space.
How I solved it
My approach
I used an iterative design approach to create the site using WordPress. The entire project took only a few short weeks to complete.
